The process
From Brief to Delivered — No Surprises
Every Codalyst Tech engagement follows the same structure: fixed scope in writing, fixed price before work starts, IP ownership for you from day one. This page explains exactly what happens from your first message to a live product or an onboarded developer.

Build Track: 5 Steps from Brief to Live
Every project follows this exact structure. Fixed scope, fixed price, milestone delivery — nothing left to interpretation.
Send Your Brief
Email us or use the AI-assisted contact form to describe what you need. Scope, timeline, budget range — share what you have. You do not need a finished specification. A clear problem statement is enough to start.
- No sales call required before receiving a proposal
- AI assistant on contact page helps structure your brief
- We respond within 6–8 hours, Mon–Sat
Receive a Written Proposal
You receive a written proposal covering the fixed price, deliverables broken into phases, recommended tech stack, and project timeline. Every line item is explained. If we cannot commit to fixed pricing (rare, and only on research-heavy AI work), we say so upfront.
- Fixed price with milestone payment schedule
- Tech stack recommendation with reasoning
- You can approve, modify, or walk away — zero obligation
Sign Contract & NDA
Once you approve the proposal, we send a formal service agreement and mutual NDA. Both documents are written in plain English — no buried clauses, no hidden IP traps. Full ownership of all code and assets transfers to you upon delivery.
- Full IP ownership — yours from the moment it is built
- NDA protects your idea before a line of code is written
- Payment schedule tied to milestone delivery, not calendar dates
Build Begins — Same Week
Development starts within the same business week. You get access to a shared project tracker, added to a dedicated communication channel, and receive a working demo or progress update within 7 days. We ship code, not slide decks.
- Shared project tracker with milestone visibility
- Weekly working demos — not status reports
- Scope changes require written sign-off before billing
Delivery, Handover & Scale
Final delivery includes full source code, documentation, and a live deployment walkthrough. Most clients continue with a maintenance retainer or a follow-on build. You can also stop completely — there is no lock-in once milestones are delivered and paid.
- Full source code + handover documentation on final delivery
- Optional maintenance retainer for ongoing feature work
- No lock-in — continue, pause, or conclude at any milestone
Hire Track: 5 Steps from Brief to Onboarded
Vetted professionals, dedicated to your account. You interview before committing. No CV pile, no surprises.
Describe Who You Need
Tell us the role, required skills, hours per week, and your working style. You do not need a formal job description — a paragraph is enough. We ask the right follow-up questions and build the criteria ourselves.
- Part-time (20 hrs/wk) or full-time (40 hrs/wk) available
- Tell us your preferred communication hours and tools
- No upfront payment to receive candidate profiles
Receive Vetted Candidates
We present 1–3 pre-vetted candidates matched to your exact brief. Each profile includes a skill summary, relevant work samples, and availability. You interview directly before committing to anyone. No CV pile to sort through.
- Every candidate passes our technical and communication screen
- Direct interview with you before any commitment is made
- We only present candidates who are immediately available
Sign Agreement & NDA
Once you select a candidate, we issue a staff engagement agreement and mutual NDA. The fixed monthly rate, working hours, notice period, and IP ownership are all written in plain English. Your hire works exclusively on your account — never shared across other clients.
- Fixed monthly rate — no surprise invoices or platform charges
- Dedicated availability — not split across other clients
- One-month notice period on either side, no penalties
Onboarding to Your Team
Your new hire joins your existing tools — Slack, GitHub, Jira, Notion, or whatever stack you use. We coordinate the entire onboarding. By end of week one, they are making real contributions, not still reading documentation.
- Full onboarding to your tools and processes
- We stay involved the first week to resolve any friction
- Check-in with you after 7 days to confirm the start is smooth
Ongoing Monthly Engagement
The engagement runs on a monthly rolling basis. You can add more hires, request a different skill set, or end the engagement with one month notice. Most clients start with one professional and expand as output builds confidence.
- Monthly invoicing — predictable and straightforward
- Scale up with additional roles as your team grows
- Pause or end with one month notice — no penalties

Six Things That Come Standard on Every Job
These are not premium add-ons or upsells. They are the minimum standard for every client, regardless of project size.
NDA Before Day One
Every engagement is covered by a mutual NDA before a single piece of information changes hands. Your idea is protected from the very first conversation.
Everything in Writing
Proposals, scope changes, pricing, and milestone definitions are always documented. Nothing is agreed verbally. If it matters, it is in the contract.
Full IP Ownership
You own every line of code and every asset produced. IP transfers to you on delivery. Codalyst Tech retains zero rights to your product, ever.
6–8 Hour Response
Every brief, question, or concern receives a real human response within 6–8 business hours, Monday to Saturday. Not a bot, not a queued ticket.
Company Accountability
You are contracting with a registered company, not a freelancer. There is a management layer, a formal escalation path, and continuity if a team member is unavailable.
Dedicated Focus
Every professional on your engagement works exclusively on your account during their hours. No juggling ten other clients in parallel.

Questions
Common Questions About How We Work
Every question below is one we receive regularly. If yours is not here, email us and we reply within 6–8 hours.
How quickly can I get started?+
For project work, you receive a scoped proposal within 24 hours of sending your brief and work starts the same week after approval. For staff hiring, candidates are presented within 48 hours of receiving your role description, and the selected professional is onboarded to your team within 7 business days.
Do I need a detailed specification before contacting you?+
No. A paragraph describing what you need to build or who you need to hire is enough to start the process. We use an AI-assisted contact form that helps structure your brief, and we ask targeted questions during the proposal process. Most clients come to us with a problem, not a specification.
What is actually in the project proposal?+
The proposal includes: a fixed total price (or phased milestone pricing for larger builds), a line-by-line breakdown of deliverables, an estimated timeline with milestone dates, the recommended technology stack with the reasoning behind each choice, and a milestone-linked payment schedule. Everything is in plain English.
Who owns the code and designs produced?+
You do — fully and permanently. Intellectual property transfers to you on delivery of each milestone. This is written into every service agreement. Codalyst Tech retains no rights to your product, code, or assets after delivery.
What happens if the project scope changes after we start?+
Any addition to the agreed scope goes through a written change order, which we price and you sign off before any additional work begins. Changes that reduce scope are credited against your remaining milestone payments. There are no surprise invoices — ever.
What if I am unhappy with the work?+
Because everything is scoped in writing, disputes over whether something was delivered are rare. If a deliverable genuinely does not match the agreed specification, we fix it before the milestone is marked complete and invoiced. If you have a broader concern, there is a management escalation path — you are dealing with a company, not an individual who can disappear.
Can I scale the staff engagement up or down?+
Yes. You can add more professionals to your account, request a role change, or end the engagement with one month of notice. There are no lock-in contracts, no penalties for winding down, and no minimum term beyond the first month.
What time zones do you work in?+
Our team operates on flexible hours that create meaningful daily overlap with Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and the UAE. We schedule standing check-ins during your business hours — not 3 AM messages.
Ready to Get Started?
Send us your brief and we will reply within 6–8 hours with a written proposal. No commitment, no sales call.
